Friday, August 9th, 2019, Study Program Nutrition Science, Faculty of Health Sciences held an expert public lecture with Dr. Geeta Appanah, PhD from department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Putra University Malaysia. Located on the 2nd floor of Building G on the 2nd floor of FEB. The lecture entitled Interprofessional Approach for Achieving WHO’2025 Global Nutrition Target was attended by nutrition study students from various study years. The doctor, who is a graduate from University of Cambridge, also gave feedback on questions during the discussion session and was impressed by the enthusiasm of students during the event.
This activity was held gladly because of the cooperation from many parties. Endang Nur Widiyaningsih, S.ST. M.Si Med as the Head of Nutrition Science appreciates and encourages students to continue to be open more to the developing issues, especially in the field of nutrition. Similarly, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Mutalazimah, S.KM., M.Kes. states that will continue to develop the strengthening of UMS cooperation, especially to the Faculty of Health Sciences in the international environments.
After giving a public lecture, dr Geeta Appanah PhD, is scheduled to participate in a number of other academic activities, such as Scientific Writing Workshop and Paper Publication Coaching Clinic at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
